I started making jewelry when I was a little girl. Every week I looked forward to the trip to our local craft store to buy new tubes of seed beads. (They were 10 cents back then.) My father made "real" jewelry as a hobby and I grew to love all the natural gemstones he would use. As life would have it, I grew up and got interested in other hobbies like painting and decoupage, which I now incorporate into my jewelry. I went on to marry, help run our family business and raise two wonderful boys now 23 and 18 years old. Several years ago my sister started making crystal jewelry for herself and taught me the basics so I could make my own. I started buying so many beautiful beads and quickly realized I still had an overwhelming passion for making jewelry. So, with my husbands blessing I am now making jewelry full time. It is the one thing I enjoy the most, besides spending time with my family of course. Finding all the incredible, unique and intriguing beads is as exciting as designing how they will come together. I'm now exploring many more jewelry making techniques. I'm having so much fun learning all about metal clay, metalsmithing, glass fusing and my very favorite, polymer clay. I use only good quality beads and findings, but I try to create one of a kind pieces that are affordable to everyone. I want as many people to enjoy wearing my jewelry as much as I enjoy making it. Thank you for shopping at Carleh's Creations and I hope you find that something special for you or a loved one.
